Throwback Story: Art For Progress Elevate

"Elevate" - March 23, 2006
Over 300 party people came out to our first Miami event which touched on all of the festivities(WMC, M3 Music Summit, Miami Fashion Week) happening in South Beach in late March. We we're a little concerned with the weather as it rained up until a half hour prior to our event. Josh Wink rang my phone and said he was running a few minutes late, but once he arrived he dropped some very nice deep tech house beats, and the night had begun. Tommy Sunshine changed it up with his electro-clash sounds, but the highlight of his set was definitely the fashion show. I recall a certain Prince track that got people excited. Lila Rivera's sexy swimwear line was a big hit with our guests. Make sure you check out some of the photos. AFP artist Zef Noise made the trip down to Florida with us.

Zef always seems to get everyone's attention when he performs. Hat's off to Zef for doing his thing. AFP's own Gatto and Dennis Sebayan kept the energy high with their sets, and vocalist Sarah Tancer sang a couple of her tracks as Andy Caldwell's fans filed in to hear his closing set of San Fran deep house. Let's not forget Locust Projects, and Ryan Fix who supported the visual arts end of things. All in all a spectacular night of diverse music and art. We'll be at it again next year. Thanks to the people at the Townhouse Hotel who are true professionals and it was a pleasure working with them.
