Meet Yvette Fernandez
Yvette Fernandes was born in March of 1989 and grew up awkward, quiet, and very thin till the age of 16 when she was discovered by a local modeling agency. Immediately, Yvette was sent down to Miami to meet with top agencies and got a great response but they wanted her to move to Miami ASAP and Yvette was still in school so she didn’t get signed right away. Yvette then decided that she really wanted to do this so Yvette did what she had to do to graduate school quicker. As soon as Yvette finished she went back to Miami and was signed with Wilhelmina and currently signed with 301 Model Management.

When did you fall in love with modeling?
I would definitely have to say I fell in love on my very first shoot because that was the first time I wore a bikini and used my long lanky legs and arms to some good use! I finally felt sexy and beautiful about my body and that’s when I knew that modeling would be good for me.
If you could work with anyone, who would it be?
David Ferrua! His work makes my jaw drop everytime!
What was your most accomplished moment and shining glory?
Probably my first cover of a magazine. I was so shocked because there was so many other beautiful pictures of other girls in the spread.
Please give your advice to someone who wants to pursue your career?
You can do whatever you put your heart into. Go for what you want and take the risks. You are your future so go for what makes you happy. Telling myself those three advices got me to where I am today.
How would a close friend describe you?
A dork. I am always called a natural dork! But I hope they mean that in a good way.
