"The Art of Design 2006" - September 8, 2006
The show, once underway, featured the work of ambitious and ever graceful designer Allyson Jacobs who showcased her Spring 2007 line, the edgy wear from Matt Landon's "A Brain Is On Fire", as well as the provocatively smoldering line-up from Lila Nikole Collection formerly A Swimwear's Lila Rivera.
Over all it was an amazing evening with over 300 party goers and fashionistas in attendance.
Models were graciously provided by Major Model Management and Uptown Model Management.
With doors opening at 10:00pm a line stretched down the side of the building. "There was a physical energy in the air," AFP's Director of Artistic Development was quoted as saying as CroBar's exterior monitors mirrored the visual orgy taking place on the inside of the club. There were tall leggy beauties in attendance, as well as buttoned up geek bloggers. Press passes were peeled from the hands of AFP's capable door staff as the journos made their way in first, and then the doors opened wide and the rabid, pulsing throng of fashion fans filtered through.
Once inside, the beat was inescapable and the crowd was pressed 3 deep around the bar as complimentary cocktails were bandied about.
