Meet Chris Paul Thompson

Christopher Paul Thompson is a photographer based out of Oklahoma, who predominantly shoots fashion, lifestyle and commercial work. He started his photography and design company in 2004. He also is pursuing his interests in art and marketing by shooting more artistic work and adding marketing, management and consulting services for his clients.

When did you fall in love with photography ?


I fell in love with art, and photography when i was a child I used to love looking at black and white photos and classic art as a child and wanted to one day be able to create my own. I couldn't draw, and clay work seemed lame so I got into graphic design but then decided I needed to take pictures to improve my design and then i was completely eaten alive by the photo bug.


If you could work with anyone, who would it be?

I would love to shoot a campaign for Brand Jordan. They always hire great photographers and have very cool concepts for their photo stories and ads, so being hired by them would let me know I am doing something right.


What was your most accomplished moment and shining glory?

All of my accomplishments seem to be gloriously shiny to me, as long as it benefits someone else as well as myself I love what I do.


Name some of your inspirations.

I'm inspired by the beauty of women by the way light touches people and by daily life, as far as photographers I love Marc Baptiste, Gordon Parks, and Gregory Prescott. As far as designers I Love Lila, Jeremy Biggers of unkommon kolor and all people who create.

Please give your advice to someone who wants to pursue your career?


Never do whats being done, find a way to create something and always be yourself. Learn everyday, look at everything as beautiful and study how light works and how a subtle shift in light can change a whole scene, story, or day.


How would a close friend describe you?


I actually asked a few friends and they said that im am LOYAL first and foremost, smart, witty, talented, shy, honest, funny, good hearted, genuine, perceptive, and funny.
