Spotlight: Maytee Martinez

Born March 7, 1991, in West New York, New Jersey. Maytee is a stunning beauty who describes herself as, a unique person with a down-to-earth personality. Maytee raised in New Jersey being the only girl in the family was always center of attention and looked up to her father for being such a great business man. She was a Daddy's girl, It was no doubt anything she wanted she got even when she didn't earn them. Her brothers Danny and Jouse, the two youngest siblings always looked up to their older sister Maytee and they would see how hard she worked to pursue her modeling career at such a young age: so they started to do the same in basketball and baseball. Her brothers and cousins would always pretend to be her body guards, while she was fantasizing as usual being the Famous Supermodel everyone just needed a picture with, afterwards they make fun of how tall she was: at only 9 years old she was "5'11" inches which had seemed to be a problem for her back then. She was always the tallest at anything she did, even in school she use to be teased for her height and would be called names like "The Green Jolly Giant"  and "Long Neck" (the nickname given to her from her brother Danny) the great thing about Maytee was she never bothered to care what others thought about her.

At 13 years old, Maytee got herself together focused even more on her career, as always her mom thinking what was best for her children decided to move to Miami and it turned out to be the greatest thing to happen in Maytee's life. Her parents decided to open a beauty supply named "La Bella Beauty Supply" in Downtown Miami. Maytee spent most of her time helping her parents and learning how to be an Entrepremillionaire she says laughing. La Bella was like a second  home for Maytee where she would go after school and spend most of her time, she meet her best friend Odenny who is more like a sister and a family member who as well is a Professional Model. Odenny was like her guide in Miami as to the where to go agencies and castings. Without La Bella beauty supply in her life who linked her to meeting Odenny,Maytee says she wouldn't have known how she would've been without such a great "sister" in her life and as well taking the recommendation of Odenny to assist modeling classes with Alicia Faccio.  Alicia Faccio is a beautiful individual and an idol in Maytee's life besides her Mother, Gisele Bundchen and Tyra banks. Maytee took Odenny's Recommendation to sign up for Modeling classes every Saturday to get the Supermodel out of her, which Alicia is a pro at doing. Alicia saw the great passion Maytee had for Modeling and had placed her after 2years taking classes with her in being the Modeling teacher for the little girls and then after a year became the assistant. Maytee always thanks Alicia for everything she has done in her life, she tears up every time she mentions how thankful she is of her.

Maytee Martinez is now a Professional Runway Model and is in high demand in the industry right now. At the young age of only 18yrs old, this Cuban American Born in New Jersey and raised in both New Jersey and New York, has accomplished so much in little time. With unique features that set her apart from the competition,she is one of the greatest runway models said to be. She has graced the catwalks of leading designers in our industry today, such as Silvia Techrassi ,Lourdes Atencio Libman and Carlos Arturo Zapata to name a few. On her spear time she works backstage in Fashion Shows with designers, enjoys to give back to the community, travels and "loves the wonderful South Beach", as well is her favorite place to go. She has been featured on the covers of international magazines and has been the face of Ad campaigns. Maytee has been in the catwalks of Miami Fashion Week, Rock Fashion Week2009, many charity events and etc. At the little age of 16, she got accepted into the best University in Miami,FL with a 4.0 GPA.  In 2010 at only 19yrs old, she will be graduating with a Bachelor's in Fashion Merchandise from The Art and Design University of Miami and plans to open her own modeling agency in the future as well as to become America's Next Top Model.

With her confidence and poise, it is no doubt that this New Jersey native will take over and you must be on the look out to see what's next for her.

Maytee Currently lives in Miramar,FL with her family, still working for Alicia Faccio Modeling inc. and would like to establish her Modeling agency in New York City. Without her strong belief in God and him being first in her life "Nothing! I've accomplished would've ever been possible. God is my strength, I'm no one without him, No one is!" she says.

-I believe that I was in love with my profession before I was even born. I'm very passionate and dedicated to what I do. My job is my, dream, hobby and it's definitely amazing.  
 
-I'm very blessed and so grateful for having the opportunity to work with all the great individuals in this industry but the one person I would love to work for is Roberto Cavalli. He is just exotic and expresses freedom and I love that.
 
-My most accomplished and shining glory moment I would have to say that I am so blessed and grateful of,was when I got accepted into "The Art and Design University of Miami" with  a GPA of 4.0 at age 16. Now in 2010 at 19 years of age will be graduating with a Bachelor's in Fashion Merchandise. I as well open a Modeling agency based in Miami soon.
 
-I'm inspired deeply by everything around me. I get inspired by the littlest things and that's what I believe is part of what makes me unique.
 
-Someone that would like to pursue Modeling,They would definitely need a wall built of confidence, this industry could be very unforgiving but you have to know how to deal with it. Always to strive for what they want, Never to give up on their dreams because something interfered and most important to always be themselves. Something that's very helpful for life in general  is that I always obtain what I want because I'm confident and determine,strive for it and never give up.

-A close friend would describe me as different in my own ways, loves family&Friends ,dedicated, outgoing,trendy,helpful and generous.
